This brief but concise history by this eyewitness veteran underscores the following:
Southern Igbo leaders remain the only ethnic leaders who have believed in a unified One-Nigeria in which appointments for positions and equity must be based on merit and not by nepotism and favoritism. These leaders vie for One-Nigeria in which accountability and transparency thrive. Both Zik of Africa and Gen Ironsi died for the vision of this type of One-Nigeria.
The Fulani-Caliphate whose history as immigrant descendants of their forefather Usman Dan Fodio is in the public domain are tenaciously fighting for a Fulanized-Islamized One-Nigeria ruled by them with Sharia law till eternity. And this they want to accomplish by extermination first of all adult citizens of all other ethnic tribes, lamentably, the real indigenous people of former Nigeria.
Col. Odumekwu Ojukwu heralded Biafra liberation having been inspired that the coexistence of separate ethanol-linguistic groups as a forced nation is never a workable arrangement under any circumstances.
